Meteorologist

Ever since I was a little kid, I've been very interested in news and weather. We got a bit of everything from where I grew up northeast of Atlanta. We had rain and severe thunderstorms, summertime heat and humidity, the occasional tropical system, and even a snow or ice storm from time to time. When big time storms were rolling in, you would find me glued to the weather, and specifically the weather on WSB-TV which just happens to be the Atlanta sister station to WHIO. I attended the University of Georgia and graduated with a degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Geography. While at UGA, I had the chance to intern with the TV station I grew up watching, WSB-TV. After my internship, I was fortunate to land a job in my home state. I became a meteorologist with WMAZ in Macon, Georgia. I helped our team of meteorologists cover Hurricane Michael, a tornado outbreak in March of 2019, flooding in the spring of 2020, and several other weather events along the way. I grew a lot and became an AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist. After almost three years at WMAZ and my entire life in Georgia, it was time for a change. I wanted to move north and experience four true seasons. I also wanted to experience a "real" winter. Luckily, a door opened for me to join WHIO-TV! I officially began working at WHIO in June of 2021. You can watch my forecasts on weekend mornings, noon on Mondays and Tuesdays, and helping out during mornings Monday through Wednesday. I'm very excited to call the Miami Valley my new home, and can't wait to meet some of you out in the community.
