They opened last week, in the middle of this heat wave.

“I honestly want to close down and not open up until winter, haha, it is so hot,” Harron said.

On top of the friers giving off heat, the truck doesn’t have air conditioning.

“We have this fan, but that’s about it,” Harron said.

News Center 7’s Taylor Robertson stopped by Los Camachos in Trotwood.

This truck has an AC unit in the window, but it’s still not enough to keep workers cool.

Both food trucks are open during the hottest part of the day, around lunchtime and after dinner.

Harron said that they find ways to work around the heat.

“We got water, cold water, sometimes we just ice ourselves,” Harron said.

These scorching temperatures aren’t going anywhere. Anyone who works outside for long periods of time should stay hydrated and look out for signs of overheating.
