Eaton woman arrested in Fentanyl trafficking investigation

EATON — Detectives from the Preble County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Eaton woman after conducting a short-term narcotic trafficking investigation at the Deerfield Inn on U.S. 35, between Eaton and West Alexandria.

Kaitlyn Maiden, 21, was arrested May 11 after a warrant was issued. The warrant stemmed from detectives purchasing approximately 27 capsules of suspected Fentanyl from her.

Maiden was living in the motel at the time.

Upon her arrest, detectives found Maiden to be in possession of more than three grams of suspected Methamphetamine, a digital scale and other drug paraphernalia.

The Eaton Municipal Court charged Maiden with:

  • Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a 3rd Degree Felony
  • Two Counts of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, 4th Degree Felonies
  • Two Counts of Possession of a Fentanyl-Related Compound, 4th Degree Felonies
  • Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments, a 2nd Degree Misdemeanor
  • Illegal Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a 4th Degree Misdemeanor

Maiden remains in the Preble County Jail as she awaits arraignment.
