UPDATE: Teen killed, 1 injured in Harrison Twp. shooting

HARRISON TWP. — Deputies are investigating a double shooting in Harrison Twp. Thursday night that killed a teen and sent another to an area hospital for treatment.

J’Yon Kolby-Lee Manson-Coleman, 15, of Dayton, was identified as the teen who was killed.

Medics and deputies were first called to the area of Klepinger Road and Evansville Avenue around 7 p.m. Thursday on reports of a person shot, deputies said in a media release early Friday morning.

A shooting victim, only identified as a male, was found at the scene and was taken to Kettering Health Dayton, formerly known as Grandview Medical Center. His condition was not known.

The victim told deputies a second person had been shot blocks away. Deputies went to the 3600 block of Michigan Avenue and found Manson-Coleman dead inside a car from an apparent gunshot wound, deputies said.
