November 10, 2002 is a day that lives in history. It’s the day that 83 tornadoes tore through 17 states including Ohio.
In the buckeye state, two tornadoes live strongly in our memory, one of which was an F3 tornado which hit right here in the Miami Valley, said StormCenter 7 Meteorologist Brett Collar.
Parts of Logan County were scarred by this tornado which caused heavy damage to two semi-trailers and the roof of a shed, Collar said. No fatalities were reported from this tornado.
Collar added even worse was an F4 wedge tornado which killed four people and destroyed 43 homes and five businesses in Van Wert.
At the end of it all, five people in Ohio were killed from these deadly storms.
