DAYTON — A months-long ramp closure at the U.S. 35 and I-75 interchange in Dayton has been officially rescheduled after weather forced a postponement earlier this month.

The project is expected to be completed on August 31.
Drivers will be diverted to the northbound I-75 exit from eastbound U.S. 35. The detour will take drivers onto the Second Street exit, exit 53, to turn left at the bottom of the ramp and left again to return to southbound I-75, the ODOT spokesperson said.

The project was scheduled to begin April 1, however weather conditions forced ODOT and the contractor to delay the project’s start date.
The ramp from westbound U.S. 35 to southbound I-75 also remains part of an ODOT project that will see construction on the ramp through the end of August as well. However that ramp will remain open during the project.
