PHOENIX — Firefighters in Phoenix rescued five dogs from a house fire that was quickly spreading on Saturday night, authorities said.
According to a Facebook post from the Phoenix Fire Department, firefighters arrived at a residence and found heavy smoke coming from inside the home.
A large attic fire caused residents to flee, KNXV-TV reported. However, the homeowners told firefighters that there were still several dogs inside the residence, according to the television station.
Firefighters were able to find all five dogs and remove them safely from the home, KPHO reported.
There were no injuries, KNXV reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation, police said.
