DAYTON, Ohio — Ohio’s Hospice announced on Monday that is will require all staff to get the COVID-19 vaccine. This also includes staff at all related organizations to Hospice.
Officials with Ohio’s Hospice said it has made decisions, throughout the pandemic, based on evidence-based information.

The organization said, “Our decision to require COVID-19 vaccinations is not about hindering personal freedoms or choice. It is about protecting the most frail and vulnerable patients and their families and protecting each other and our families.”
Ohio’s Hospice is an organization that is dedicated to moral obligation to protect patients and families. It considers it a privilege to serve those families and patients, along with its staff.
“We see this decision as aligning with, and being true, to our values and mission. Staff members with medical or religious objections can apply for an exemption from this requirement. As of today, 64% of eligible staff members have received at least one dose of the three COVID-19 vaccines.” Ohio’s Hospice said.
