The shooting happened around 7 a.m., according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatcher.

News Center 7 previously reported that the caller told dispatch that he didn’t know the man who had shot at them, and that the man had run into the couple at the park.

According to 911 calls obtained by News Center 7, the boyfriend said that his girlfriend had been shot in the neck.

She was then rushed to a hospital.

Neighbors who live near the park said they can’t enjoy the park anymore without having to watch their backs.

“It’s crazy because there’s children around here,” said Kyra Cupp.

Cupp said that it’s senseless when people do acts of violence like the shooting.

News Center 7 is still working to learn the condition of the woman.
