Dayton resident Ellen Ellis spent some of her Friday evening buying groceries.

She isn’t a fan of what’s coming this weekend.

“I would rather live somewhere warm with a beach,” Ellis said.

Susan Keith who lives in Centerville loves snow, but on one condition.

“If I don’t have to be out in it. I don’t like driving in it,” she said.

So far this season the Miami Valley hasn’t seen much snow on the roads.

That’s why Ace Hardware off Stroop Road has seen customers buying charcoal and grills.

“Because the weather has been close to the 50s, so everybody’s still eating out, cooking out and grilling out and enjoying the time they can outside,” Rick Webster, Ace Hardware salesman said.

But this weekend, it won’t be in the 50s.

He said he has seen a steady flow of people preparing for the snow.

“Yes, salts and shovels,” Webster said. If you think it’s gonna freeze like they say it’s going to, you better come get your salt while we got it.”

While we may not get much this weekend he said stay prepared.

“Stay safe everybody, you know, we’re here at ACE to help you out if we can.”

ACE is open seven days a week.
