DAYTON — The Montgomery County Animal Resource Center is asking the community to help foster dogs in their shelter.
The shelter said that fosters volunteers are critical to helping dogs get adopted as the shelter environment can be “overwhelming” and “unfamiliar.”

“The dog is able to decompress in a comfortable environment and it gives us a chance to learn more about their personality so we can make even better matches with adopters,” Amy Bohardt, director of ARC said.
Bohardt added fostering shelter dogs also gives them a chance to be introduced to new situations and become more socialized.
Anyone who is in the position to foster a dog can find more information or sign up here or call the shelter at (937) 898-4457.
