There are questions about what’s next for the property.

Jessica Shafner belonged to Five Seasons Family Sports Club for years.

“Having my kids being able to grow up here with these wonderful staff members, we become family,” Shafner said.

She’s celebrated milestones and birthdays with friends here.

The property includes tennis and pickleball courts, an outdoor pool, plus an indoor fitness space.

Shafner is among this group of now-former members and staffers after a sudden closure just before the property was sold.

“So that’s really the biggest part. What we’re sad about losing,” she said.

They want to know what’s next for the property.

“Yeah, it’s sad to know that it’s just sitting vacant,” Shafner said.

The club is in Sugarcreek Township.

It sits directly next door to more than 70 acres in Centerville, where the Cornerstone of Centerville South development is in the works.

That site is expected to include restaurants, hotels, office and retail buildings, and an entertainment site area.

Sugarcreek Township’s administrator, Barry Tiffany, said the township has no details about what’s next for the property.

News Center 7 reached out to the new owners, Life Time, with that exact question.

In an email, they said, “At this time, we do not have specific details to share about our plans for the former Five Seasons location in Dayton. We will be providing additional details on our plans and timing as soon as it becomes available.”

Several former members said they’ve been working with former ownership and have either already gotten refunds for prepaid or unused services, or they’re in the process of talking with former ownership about getting those refunds.
