According to an online post from the Cincinnati Firefighters Union Local 48 the injured Hamilton firefighter from Monday morning’s house fire has died.
Officials say the firefighter fell through the first floor and into the basement. He was transported to Fort Hamilton Hospital, but succommed to his injuries. The identity of the firefighter was not immediately available pending notification of the family.

Our news partner WCPO-TV in Cincinnati reports a Hamilton firefighter suffered serious injuries while fighting the blaze in the 1300 block of Pater Ave.
Officials did not identify the firefighter, but said they were transported to Fort Hamilton Hospital with undisclosed, but serious injuries.
No one was inside the house when the fire broke out, according to firefighters.

A Hamilton firefighter has reported been injured while fighting a house fire on Pater Ave. Monday morning.
Butler County dispatch confirms crews responded to the 1300 block of Pater Ave. around 1 a.m. for a house fire and reported heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure.
Reports indicate a firefighter suffered injuries and was transported to Fort Hamilton Hospital to be taken by Air Care to another hospital. It’s unknown how severe the firefighter’s injuries are.
Initial reports also indicated the occupants of the house might have still been inside before crews arrived, but it’s also unknown if the occupants were able to evacuate.
Several jurisdictions from around the county responded to the scene for mutual aid.
