RIVERSIDE — UPDATE @ 7:05 a.m.
A fire contained to the roof of a Wendy’s on airway road in Riverside is now out, according to dispatchers.
Initial reports indicate there is no damage to the structure of the business and all power has been shut of the to the building.
Dispatchers said no injuries are reported as a result of the fire while a cause has yet to be determined.
INITIAL REPORT (Nov. 27)
Fire crews are arriving on the scene of a fire at the Wendy’s on Airway Road in Riverside Sunday morning.
Crews were dispatched just before 6:30 a.m. to the restaurant in the 4800 block of Airway Road.
Our crew at the scene reports Airway Road is closed in both directions in front of the building.
Initial reports indicate that an HVAC system on the roof of the business is on fire, but the flames have not spread to the inside of the building.
Smoke filled the building as a result of the fire, according to scanner traffic.
