Harrison Township said it is excited to welcome the fourth DG Market to the Miami Valley.
“On this side of the township, we have been struggling with grocery options,” Nathan Edwards, economic development manager for the township, said.
Edwards said the township is committed to the stretch of East Dixie Drive after what a tornado did to it six years ago.
“We’re trying to find new developments here. We’re hoping to reestablish this area as a retail hub for the township. And we’re working with both owners on each side of this property to redevelop this entire area. So stay tuned, lots of developments coming in the next year or two,” he said.
Down the road from the store on Salem Avenue, there are plans to build a new gas station.
We will continue to follow this story.
