Dozens of workers are turning the 22-story Grant-Deneau Tower into a 21st-century living space.

“Everything you see, we build ourselves, we don’t purchase a lot, we do it all in-house,” Jason Dorsey, lead designer with Windsor Design Group said.

Sound-reducing features and elegant touches are built in everywhere.

“We really went above and beyond on finishes and quality,” Dorsey said.

The building’s transformation is attracting national attention.

“It’s called vacuum-insulated glass and it’s actually the largest retrofit in America,” Trent Mead, project manager with Windsor said.

Mead said the revolutionary glass and a proprietary heating system will benefit every resident.

The building’s mezzanine has a fitness center and will also have a bar and lounge.

The first-floor lobby and lights are already attracting attention.

The 12-18 months of transformation have expectations sky-high.

The hope is that 150 units here will attract those who love urban spaces.

“We like seeing the buildings come alive, not only do we like seeing the buildings come alive, but we love seeing Downtown Dayton come alive,” Amanda Cunningham, district property manager with Windsor said.
