An in-depth list of risk levels for all 88 counties in the state has been released during Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s briefing Thursday.
Ohio Department of Aging Director Ursel McElroy provided an update on nursing facility visitation guidelines. Inside visitations at nursing homes and assisted living facilities may occur starting Oct. 12.
The state recommends all residential colleges and universities to regularly test a sample population of their asymptomatic students. Some schools are already doing this, DeWine said. Screening asymptomatic students gives colleges an idea of the spread on their campuses. DeWine said the state expects each campus plan to screen at least three percent of their at-risk population.
Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted announced that the one-game-per-day limit for sports will be removed.
A confirmed positive COVID-19 test in the Waynesville High School athletic department prompted the district to cancel the 2020 homecoming parade, which was scheduled for tonight, Wayne Local Schools Superintendent Patrick Dubbs said.

LATEST STATE DATA: As of Thursday morning, there have been at least 147,744 confirmed or probable cases in the state, 4,414 deaths, and 15,051 hospitalizations, according to the Ohio Department of Health. 127,239 people are presumed to have recovered from the virus in the state.
Ohio has an estimated population of approximately 11.7 million, census records show.

There have been 2,947,603 people tested for the coronavirus in Ohio, according to the Ohio Department of Health.
A total of 15,893 health care workers have tested positive which is about 11 percent of the cases.
