MASON — Kings Island announced Tuesday that they would be selling pieces of the Vortex roller coaster one year after the park shut down the ride.
The pieces will go on sale on Saturday, October 3.
The Vortex operated from 1987 through the 2019 season.
Pieces will be sold in 1 foot and 5 inch sections and for $198.70. A certificate of authenticity and a limited edition Vortex postcard set will be included.
The pieces will be available for sale in the park in the Emporium on International Street, and guests may purchase up to two per person.
Any remaining kits will be available for purchase online after October 5th.
