DAYTON — A 33-year-old Dayton woman was sentenced to more than a decade in prison for the shooting death of another woman in Harrison Twp. last May.
Deangle C. Jones was sentenced to 16 years in the death on Jeniqua L. Morrow, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.
On Friday, Jones pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and having weapons while under disability. The involuntary manslaughter charge included a three-year firearm specification.
Jones’ initial charges included murder, felonious assault and having weapons while under disability, according to court records.
Early morning May 8, sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported shooting at Northland Village Apartments.
When they arrived at the apartment, deputies from Morrow deceased.
