Dayton woman indicted for murder, accused of fatally shooting another woman

DAYTON — A 32-year-old Dayton woman was indicted Thursday on murder charges in the shooting death of another woman earlier this month in Harrison Twp.

Deangle C. Jones is charged with two counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault, and one count of having weapons under disability. The charges carry three-year firearm specifications, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.

The charges stem from a shooting early May 8 at the Northland Village apartments in the 1900 block of Palisades Drive.

Jeniqua L. Morrow, 25, of Dayton was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jones initially told investigators a man shot Morrow and then ran into a wooded area, but she later was arrested.

Jones is due is court Friday, online jail records show.
