The Dayton Leigh Garage downtown has closed after an assessment concluded the structure was unsound, according property manager THMG 10 West Second Street LLC.
THMG also owns KeyBank Tower at 10 West Second Street whose tenants use the Leigh Garage at the corner of Second and Ludlow streets.

In 2015, a walkway built between the garage and the former Elder-Beerman Department Store on Courthouse Plaza was demolished due to its lack of use and deteriorating condition.
An assessment determined that the garage ramp was structurally unsound, according to THMG property manager Ed Lopez.

Entrance to the space was prohibited Tuesday afternoon as engineers work to determine how long the garage will be closed.
It remains unknown where parking subscribers who use the space will park during the closure.
