FRANKLIN — UPDATE @ 9:40 p.m.: The standoff has ended as the knife-throwing suspect walked out of his apartment building with his hands up.
Authorities coaxed 52-year-old Daniel Fueston into surrendering just after 9 p.m. and he was taken into custody.
Fueston is to be in Franklin Municipal Court on Tuesday on a charge of felonious assault, Franklin police Lt. Brian Pacifico said. Police plan to add a charge of inducing panic in the morning, he said.
Another apartment building resident is to be in court as well Tuesday, on a misdemeanor charge of misconduct at an emergency, the lieutenant said.
Sharon Kelly was taken into custody when she wouldn’t stay in her apartment during the standoff and because she continually yelled at police and at Fueston during the incident, Pacifico said.
