DAYTON — The Tri-Village Patriots won the Division IV girls basketball state championship beating Toledo Christian, 52-50, Saturday afternoon at the UD Arena.

It’s their first state championship in school history.

Senior Rylee Sagester scored 20 points in her final high school game as she finished scored over 2,000 points for her career.

She also finished with the most three-pointers in OHSAA girls basketball history with 401.

Tri-Village led 26-19 at halftime but the Eagles cut it 26-24 but the Patriots went on a 11-0 to lead, 37-24, in the third quarter.

Toledo Christian got within two points, 44-42, in the fourth quarter but the Patriots scored six unanswered points.

Tri-Village ended the season with a 30-0 record.
