Nickelodeon has given the OK for a spinoff from the original “SpongeBob SquarePants” show, this time featuring SpongeBob’s best friend Patrick Star, Deadline reported.

So far the network has ordered 13 episodes, The Wrap reported.

Bill Fagerbakke will continue his role voicing Patrick in the new show, which will focus on the starfish and the rest of his family as their plans are derailed by Patrick’s imagination.

Tom Wilson will join Fagerbakke as Cecil Star, Patrick’s father; Cree Summer as Bunny Star, Patrick’s mother, and Grandma Tentacles, Squidward’s grandmother; Jill Talley as Squidina Starr, Patrick’s sister; and Dana Snyder as GrandPat Star, Deadline reported.

The show, which will be produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio, will start airing this summer.

This isn’t the first spinoff from the original show. “Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years” is now airing on Paramount+, TV Line reported.
