EL PASO, Texas — Three children were hospitalized Saturday after being blown off a balloon bounce house by strong winds in El Paso, authorities said.
One child was seriously injured in the 5 p.m. incident, KVIA reported.
According to fire department dispatchers, strong winds picked up the jumping balloon and blew the children off it, the television station reported.
Dispatchers said seven units from the El Paso fire and El Paso police departments responded to the residence in the northeast part of the city, KTSM reported.
According to the National Weather Service, winds in El Paso on Saturday were clocked at 22 mph, with gusts to 33 mph. A wind advisory was in effect Saturday night in El Paso, with winds possibly gusting as high as 55 mph.
No other details were immediately available about the children, KVIA reported.
