One of two men charged in the 2011 Fort Recovery home invasion and slayings of Robert and Colleen Grube has changed his plea in the case.
Trevin Sanders, 19 pleaded guilty this morning as part of a plea agreement in Mercer County Common Pleas Court, according to Mercer County court records.
Details of the deal were not immediately available.
Sanders was charged in March 2013 with aggravated murder, robbery and burglary.
The same charges are still pending against Bryant Rhoades, 23, who has pleaded not guilty. If convicted, Rhoades faces the death penalty.
Sanders was 17 years old at the time of the killings and was not eligible for the death penalty.
Authorities announced developments in the case in March 2013 with charges filed against Sanders and Rhoades' arrest for obstructing official business.
Investigators have said that two people, maybe more, came to the Grubes' home on Burrville Road the night of Nov. 29 or early morning Nov. 30. The home invaders bound the residents Robert Grube and his daughter Colleen, and shot them.
Investigators say the perpetrators were either let in or came in through an unlocked door, ransacked parts of the house and stole a laptop computer.
