Ohio University wrestling coach staff member placed on leave

ATHENS — A university has placed a member of the wrestling coach staff on administrative leave.

Ohio University announced Friday that one coaching staff member is being investigated by the Ohio University Police Department after two student-athletes reported being physically assaulted during practice.

“The Police investigation is ongoing ... The University will share more information as it becomes available,” a statement posted to the universities website said.

Investigators are asking anyone with information concerning the incident are asked to contact university police at 740-593-1911.
