Ohio 129 West has been reopened following a serious one-vehicle accident that sent two men to the hospital, said Butler County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Sgt. Melissa Gerhardt.
The men were transported to area hospitals with “serious” injuries, but details are not yet being released.
There was also an accident on Ohio 129 East that occurred around the same time as the westbound accident, but Gerhardt said that was a minor accident.

Ohio 129 West is expected to be shut down for probably another hour as crews investigate the single-vehicle accident that has sent two to the hospital, according to Butler County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Sgt. Melissa Gerhardt.
At 7:09 a.m., the driver of a 1999 BMW was attempting to merge into traffic but lost control and struck a retaining wall, Gerhardt said. The identities of the people involved in the accident are not yet being released, but the driver was transported by medical helicopter to University Hospital in Cincinnati and the passenger was transported by ambulance to West Chester Hospital.
The Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team has been taking measurements to figure out what happened since crews were dispatched this morning.
Liberty Twp. Fire Department crews extracted the two in the vehicle that were transported to the two area hospitals.

Ohio 129 West remains shut down as deputies investigate and reconstruct the crash.
BREAKING REPORT
Emergency crews are responding to crashes on Ohio 129 in Liberty Twp.
Air Care landed on the highway to transport an injured person around 7:30 a.m., according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
The first crash, reported as a vehicle into the median wall, happened around 7:20 a.m. on the westbound side, west of Cincinnati-Dayton Road.
There was a person reported entrapped with serious injuries.
A second crash happened minutes later on the eastbound side in the same area.
The second crash also involved injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
