Woman, baby hurt in rollover crash; SUV driver arrested

UPDATE @ 6:10 p.m.:

A woman and an infant passenger were taken to local hospitals after their car was struck head-on by a white SUV that landed on its top.

The crash happened around 5:15 p.m. in the 1800 block of Edwin C. Moses Boulevard near UD arena.

The woman was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in serious condition. An infant riding in the back seat of her black Nissan Altima was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital. The baby’s condition is not known.

The man driving the white sport-utility vehicle refused treatment at the scene. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant and will be cited for reckless operation in the crash, Dayton police said.

Edwin C. Moses Boulevard is shut down in the area of a serious two-car crash near UD arena.

A car flips over in a serious crash this evening on Edwin C. Moses Boulevard has closed Stewart Street.

The crash was reported around 5:15 p.m. in the 1800 block of Edwin C. Moses Boulevard near UD arena.
