WATCH: Trotwood-Madison school bus runs stop sign

TROTWOOD — People in a Trotwood neighborhood are upset after a video showed a schools bus full of children run a stop sign on Iams Court.

Cell phone video shows a Trotwood-Madison City school bus driving through a stop sign at the corner of Iams Court and Trotwood Boulevard.

“I don’t feel good about it because there’s a lot of little kids that play here,” said a woman who lives in the area and does not want to be identified.

“People come down that road flying and all it’s going to take is an accident and there’s going to be a lot of upset people.”

A video shared with News Center 7 shows bus number 34 slow down as it turns left onto Trotwood Boulevard, but the driver disregards the stop sign.

The neighbor said that she thinks the school district needs to crack down on bus drivers who don’t follow traffic laws.

“They need to abide by the rules,” she said.

Michelle Farris has lived in the neighborhood for almost five years and said she’s seen plenty of cars run the stop sign.

“People think probably because it’s a dead end they can just come around the corner,” she said.

News Center 7 has contacted Trotwood-Madison about the incident and shown administrators the video. They said they were unable to comment today, but could talk with us tomorrow.
