SAN ANTONIO — A Double-A San Antonio Missions game was delayed Friday when a large snake slithered into center field during the game’s eighth inning.
Video captured the grounds crew working to avoid a bite while capturing the snake with a bucket.

There’s no word on what kind of snake it was. A San Antonio spokesperson said Sunday the grounds crew let the snake go across the street from the stadium.
This was the second time an animal delayed a Missions game within a week. A few days prior, a cat had to be removed from the outfield wall.
