MIDDLETOWN — A man wanted for murder was arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) Friday afternoon in Middletown.
Devon Cox was indicated and wanted by the Fairborn Police Department in 2019 for murder, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery and felonious assault related to an incident that happened November 2016.

The U.S. Marshals did not indicate the crime Cox was wanted for, however News Center 7 previously reported that Cox was wanted for the murder of Jarrell Plummer, who was shot in a Fairborn apartment in November 2016. WHIO is working to learn more details on the case and Cox was arrested in connected this homicide.
An investigation led officers from multiple agencies to a residence in the 1700 block of South Breiel Blvd. where Cox was taken into custody Friday afternoon.
He now awaits his court appearance for the charges, according to a release.

The U.S. Marshal’s SOFAST was assisted by Xenia Police Division, Fairborn Police Department, Greene County Agencies for Combined Enforcement (ACE) Drug Task Force, Greene County Prosecutor’s Office, Middletown Division of Police and Middletown Special Operations Unit.
