SPRINGFIELD — A Springfield man facing a felony charge after he was accused of robbing Jim’s Drive Thru Monday morning had been arrested and booked into jail for separate cases over the weekend.
Jeremy Brookmyer, 47, was arrested Saturday morning after police said he broke into the Rent-A-Center at 1041 N. Bechtle Ave. and shattered two windows of the Kohl’s at 1600 N. Bechtle Ave.

According to police reports, Rent-A-Center reported over $6,000 in merchandise being stolen, including a TV, sound bars and Playstation 5 video game consoles. Police said it did not appear anyone was able to get into the Kohls.
Brookmyer was arrested at the Relax Inn on West Main Street and booked into the Clark County Jail. His bond had been set at $5,000 in court Monday, according to court records.
Around 10:30 a.m. police responded to Jim’s Drive Thru at 2808 E. Main St. after a man pulled a knife on the clerk demanding money.
Brookmyer was tracked down near the Fazoli’s on East Main and was taken into custody, according to court records.
Brookmyer told police he robbed the drive thru “because of drugs,” according to court records.
He’s currently being held in the Clark County Jail.
Brookmyer also has a pending felony case after he was indicted for an armed robbery in May at the Speedway at 1103 Upper Valley Pike.
