In an encouragement to show attendees that one can overcome adversities, Pastor Lawrence Bishop II of the Solid Rock Church located in Monroe used a visual aid to prove a point.
Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m., church pews were removed, plastic and dirt were brought in to the worship center along with a wild horse. The purpose - for the Bishop to tame the wild horse.
The scheduled sermon was titled "Conquer The Beast", and featured former Offensive Lineman Bobbie Williams of the 2013 Super Bowl champions Baltimore Ravens and current member of the Solid Rock Church.
