Officers responded to the 200 block of Yale Avenue on a reported stabbing just before 10 p.m. on Saturday, according to a previous News Center 7 report.
News Center 7 obtained 911 calls through a public records request.
“Did he have a knife, or did he have a gun?” A 911 dispatcher.
“No, a knife. A knife. It was a knife,” the caller answered.
The caller said it started from an altercation that escalated.
“I guess it was the case now beside my house, I just don’t know,” the caller said.
The caller told dispatchers that he had a house full of people when the incident happened.
“The dude came upstairs in my house, knocking on my door, ‘Somebody let me in,’ the caller said. “Like I got like 10 kids in here, like he’s my nieces and my kids.”
News Center 7’s Malik Patterson said that the next thing the caller knew was that two people were stabbed.
“My son, he got cut on his arm,” the caller said.
“How did he get cut?” the dispatcher asked.
“Oh, she also got cut on her back, too.”
Patterson says that both victims were given towels to help stop the bleeding.
The caller told dispatchers that the suspect ran away. The caller also said that it scared everyone in the home.
Patterson said in the call that nobody knew who the alleged suspect was.
As for the two victims, they ranged in age.
“How old are both the victims?” the dispatcher asked.
“He’s 17, and she’s about 34-35,” the caller answered.
News Center 7 has contacted the Dayton Police Department to find out the condition of both victims and if anyone has been arrested.
