MIAMI VALLEY — Santa visits at the Mall at Fairfield Commons and Dayton Mall will begin today with some restrictions in place due to coronavirus.
Both malls will begin visits today. Santa visits will not happen between Nov. 30 and Dec. 2.
Visiting hours will be:
Monday-Saturday: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (cookie break from 3 to 4 p.m.)
Sundays: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (cookie break from 2:30-3 p.m.)
Christmas Eve: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (cookie break from 1 to 2 p.m.)
Reservations for visitation is highly recommended, according to mall officials.
Here’s a list of some of the changes that guests will see:
- Face coverings are required for all Guests ages 2 and older.
- You will experience physical distancing practices, including maintaining social distance in queues and physical barriers where space doesn’t allow for 6 feet of separation.
- Advanced Reservations are strongly encouraged to promote social distancing and contact-less payments.
- An increased focus on disinfecting and sanitation, including the addition of hand sanitizer in high traffic areas.
- Guests will not be allowed to sit on Santa’s lap, but will be able to engage in conversation, while maintaining physical distance.
Santa also will be required to complete a complete health screening and will have his temperature checked before any shift.
In between shifts Santa’s suit will be sprayed with disinfectant.
