DAYTON — Riverside City Council will not move forward with an attempt to remove Councilman Steve Fullenkamp while a Montgomery County Common Pleas judge considers the constitutionality of parts of Riverside’s charter.
The deal was reached today at the county courthouse in Dayton while subpoenaed city staff, council members and a handful of the defendant taxpayers waited for a decision.
Fullenkamp welcomed the decision by Judge Richard Skelton, although both sides have indicated they will likely appeal an unfavorable ruling.
A decision by Skelton could come in November after both sides brief the judge.
Fullenkamp, who is represented by attorney Dwight Brannon, is fighting an effort by other members of council to remove him from office.
