2 Upper Valley Career Center students seriously injured in crash near Piqua recovering at hospital

UPDATE @ 1:15 p.m.:

Two students from the Upper Valley Career Center in Piqua are both in stable condition at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton following a grinding head on crash after school Tuesday afternoon.

Trey Weber, of Anna, and Parker Hennessey, of Dayton, both age 16, were hurt in the crash on County Road 25-A near Troy-Sidney Road.

Weber was driving north on 25-A when he collided with a work truck head-on.

A third car, which was behind the work truck, also was involved in the crash.  The driver in that car, Tammy Cox, 55, of Sidney, was not hurt.

The truck driver, Jason Levering, 42, of Sidney, was taken to Upper Valley Medical Center for treatment.

UPDATE @ 7:55 p.m.: Two Upper Valley Career Center students are in serious condition at Miami Valley Hospital following the three-vehicle crash.

The students were on their way home from school at the time of the accident on County Road 25-A near Troy-Sidney Road, which involved two trucks and a car.

At least one person was trapped in a car following a head-on crash on Troy-Sidney Road north of Piqua Tuesday.

Emergency crews responded to the intersection of Troy-Sidney Road and County Road 25-A around 3 p.m. after the crash was reported.

The crash was believed to involve a work truck, a pickup and a car.

A medical helicopter transported one person to Miami Valley Hospital.  Two others were taken to Upper Valley Medical Center. The condition of the victims was not immediately known.
