2 hospitalized after crash on Philadelphia Drive in Dayton

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 4 p.m.: 

Two people have been hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash at Philadelphia and Cornell drives in Dayton Tuesday afternoon.

The incident was first dispatched as a pedestrian hit by a car, however police said the crash only involved two vehicles and no pedestrians.

Two people were transported to area hospitals for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening.

FIRST REPORT

Police and medics have responded to reports of a pedestrian hit by a car on Philadelphia Drive in Dayton Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the intersection of Philadelphia and Cornell drives around 3:15 p.m. after the crash was reported.

The condition of the victim was not immediately known.

Police have blocked the northbound lanes of Philadelphia Drive and are diverting traffic onto Earlham Drive, according to police scanner traffic.
