As reported on News Center 7 at 5:30, mechanics at AAA Huber Heights are used to car service demands increasing along with temperatures.
George Bayless Jr is getting an oil change and said his car lasts for years because of regular maintenance.
“Gotta take care of it,” Bayless Jr. said.
Especially before hitting the road for summer camping trips and summer traffic.
While sitting in congested traffic, the car’s engine is not just working in the heat it generates, but also heat from asphalt and other cars.
“Especially when the roads get this hot and these temps, the tire pressure and PSI will go up. As you drive, because it’s so hot, they will expand as the temps go up,” Dustin Shafer, manager of AAA Huber Heights, said.
