Police investigate shooting at Franklin apartment complex

FRANKLIN — Police are investigating after a person was found with a gunshot wound at a Franklin apartment complex Monday afternoon.

Officers and medics were dispatched to the 900 block of Franklin Commons Drive around 3 p.m. after receiving reports of a person shot, according to initial reports.

Police confirmed one person was transported from the scene to an area hospital for treatment but their condition was not known.

Officers are continuing to investigate if the victim was shot by another person or if the injury was self-inflicted.
