The Wilmington post open house will start at 10 a.m. at the 900 block of Rombach Avenue while the Piqua post begins at 1 p.m. on the 400 block of U.S. 36, an OSHP spokesperson said.
The open house will allow OSHP personnel to interact with the public.
A recruiter will be also on-site at both locations to assist with any recruitment questions and help with the application process.
As part of the anniversary activities, the patrol is also partnering with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio. The program mails children a free book each month until their fifth birthday.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol began on November 15, 1933, when the first 60 patrolmen earned their commissions following training at Camp Perry and began patrolling Ohio’s roads.
