A new law in Ohio beginning this school year will require a vaccination against meningitis for students.
Public Health Dayton Montgomery County will offer vaccination clinics for students in seventh and 12th grades.
The clinics will be at the following locations:
- 9 a.m to 5 p.m, Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Fairhaven Church, 637 E. Whipp Road in Centerville
- 9 a.m to 5 p.m, Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Reibold building on Fourth and Main streets in downtown Dayton.
Those who attend need to bring shot records and an insurance card but no appointment is necessary, according to Public Health Dayton Montgomery County. Fees include $122 for the meningitis vaccine, $33 for Tdap (a combination vaccine against tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis), and a $21 per shot administration fee.
No child will be turned away because he or she cannot afford to pay, the public health agency said. For more information, call 937-225-5700
