The eighth annual “Running with Pride” will take place Sunday at Eastwood MetroPark.

Organizers say the 5-K run and walk is family-friendly and the money raised will go toward college scholarships and education.

“So, you get people that don’t necessarily go down to Pride on the Square. They come to our event,” said Tom Humbert, Running with Pride committee member. “They bring their kids, they bring their dogs. We have families that come every year. So, it’s for people that don’t like the big crowds.”

Registration for the 5K starts at 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

The race will begin at 9 a.m.
