News Center 7 got the 911 call that led firefighters to the apartment.

“There’s people that live in there, I think they are locked in their house,” a caller told dispatchers.

The dispatcher asked the man why they think people were inside.

“I can hear them,” the caller said.

Upon arrival, firefighters saw heavy fire conditions coming from a three-story apartment building, Dayton Fire Assistant Chief Brad French said.

Crews quickly searched the building looking for anyone trapped and began fighting the fire with hose lines.

Firefighters found and removed Harbour from the apartment complex in critical condition

He was transported to Miami Valley Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Two other people sustained injuries while trying to get out of the building. They were also transported to a local hospital, according to a previous News Center 7 report.

The Dayton Fire Department Fire Investigation Unit determined that the cause of this fire was accidental. They told News Center 7 on Tuesday the fire was believed to have started by a heating source.
