‘Light Ohio Blue’ campaign to honor law officers lost in line of duty

COLUMBUS — A statewide campaign to honor law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty will start today.

The “Light Ohio Blue” camping starts today, May 15, and runs through May 21.

Since last year, according to a release, Ohio has lost nine law enforcement officers in the line of duty.

On May 17, Light Ohio Blue will host the annual Crusier Caravan.

The caravan consists of cruisers with officers and those who have lost loved ones in the line of duty from across the state.

It will start from the Columbus State Deleware Campus at 5 p.m. and depart at 6:30 p.m. to locations across central Ohio.

Before leaving, there will be a ceremony remembering the officers lost in 2021 and 2022.

Attorney General Dave Yost will make closing remarks.
