The Cincinnati/Dayton division of Kroger has purchased tickets to Sunday's Bengals playoff game in an effort to avoid a local television blackout.
Kroger will distribute the tickets to U.S. Military veterans and Active Duty service members at several area locations, including two local Krogers.
Tickets will be distributed Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Austin Landing Kroger in Miami Twp. and from noon to 2 p.m. at the Englewood Kroger on Union Boulevard.
"This is an exciting time to be a Bengals fan," said Sukankya Madlinger, President of Kroger's Cincinnati/Dayton Division in a press release. "Kroger is a huge supporter of the brave men and women who protect and defend our country. Giving them the opportunity to watch the 'undefeated at home' Bengals in action is a great way for us to say 'thank you' for your brave service."
Kroger is the latest local business to buy tickets to avoid a blackout.
