KETTERING — The City of Kettering is offering housing assistance programs to make houses safer and healthier for Kettering residents.

“These initiatives ensure Kettering residents have access to resources for critical home improvements, safety upgrades and healthy living environments,” the city said in a press release.

The city has three primary programs available for residents: Lead Safe Ohio Grant Program, Air Quality Improvement Grant Program, and the Housing Rehabilitation Program.
- The Lead Safe Ohio Grant Program provides home repairs to address lead-based paint hazards for homes built before 1978.
- The Air Quality Improvement Grant Program will help qualified people upgrade their HVAC systems.
- The Housing Rehabilitation Program is offering low-interest and deferred loans for necessary repairs, like repairs to address immediate health concerns, accessibility modifications for the disabled, and roof, windows, doors and insulation repairs.
