DAYTON — A female was taken to Miami Valley Hospital after a shooting on Delaware Avenue in Dayton.
Dayton police responded to the 400 block around 3 a.m. after hearing reports that a woman was shot.

A K9 unit was brought to the home where the shooting occurred and crews searched for a male suspect, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspect was not found and investigators called off the search.
Details on the victim’s condition are not yet available.
