The Great Miami River in Dayton was measured at its lowest level since records have been kept by the Ohio River Forecast Center, which is part of the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

According to the Ohio River Forecast Center, the gauge location at I-75 and West Riverview Avenue measured at 23.15 feet. Flood stage for that section of the river is 41 feet, however in addition to the dry weather the region has experienced, ongoing construction upstream is also impacting the water levels.

In Sidney the river level was measured at 0.68 feet, which is the tenth lowest on record.

Data from the Ohio River Forecast Center dates back until at least 1913.
